When you buy something that has a surprise, a remote! But why? Consider this, I bought two, for best lighting, and did think that placing one of them behind my screens on a desktop that is 90cm deep, just out of reach was going to be a pain for adjustments, not with a remote. The remote is very well put together control wise, can hold a button to dim/lighten or click for steps. Change the white color timer etc etc. Anyway, about the lamp itself, it's well built and strong, the actual light is an even spread of light, and at the strongest setting, emits more than enough luminance for desktop streaming use. I turn it down so it doesnt swamp out my LED colours from behind my monitors. But the fact i now have lighting choices depending on use cases is a win. There is also a 1 minute sleep option on top of the advertised 30/60 min options. The lamp head is 18cm squared rounded corrners. The unit came with UK 3 pin adaptor (I was under the impression that I had to use USB so this is a plus). I decided to spend a little more and get an okay white lamp for desktop that didnt take up much desktop space, this gave me more than i expected so happy days (or nights even). Edit: BUT... this is incompatible with smart plugs, sockets, and home automation because it defaults to the "off" position when switched on with for example, "Alexa turn lamp on", instead of starting up with the last saved state like it does when using the remote on/off - regular switch lamps don't get this wrong, how this failed on this simple thing, hmm

Lots of positives. It seems sturdy, at least initially. It was so easy to set up. The remote works well and is a nice feature. One can use it in many ways, as a traditional desk lamp, to light you during a video conference or to boost the light on your desk. I find it attractive. So it does what I want and for a price much less than the first brand I found of this style. The negatives are: the arm is a bit stiff for turning at the bottom joint. The controls on the arm don't work by pressing them, you need to swipe them - that took me many days to figure out! But they work. I would have liked a white colour but that is a personal preference. I have had perhaps a couple of weeks, lets see how it wears over time. But for now, I am very satisfied and can recommend it.

I ordered one of these to use when I host my online workshops and I procrastinated with setting it up as I thought it would take a while. Once I opened the box, the whole lamp came out in one piece, was easy to clamp to my desk and only needed the cable plugged in. So happy! The light settings are great and it has a lovely soft diffused light. Would highly recommend.

The ultimate solution for a two-pack zoom lighting setup costs $300. I know. You get what you pay for. But not always… I first tried cheaper zoom lamps to be sure that the desk lighting would indeed enhance both my professional video appearance and the podcaster’s brand. But I was not convinced that I needed to buy the ultimate solution. So, after eyeing them again, I decided to take a chance on the LitOnes two-pack offer. After the box containing them arrived from Amazon, four things stood out with me after I unpacked them and was affixing them to my desk: 1. The overall solid build of the LitOnes lamp is first rate. 2. The illuminated-when-off power button located near the base of the each lamp meant that I could turn on the lamps without turning on the office’s light first. 3. When powered on and off, the lamp’s light transitions smoothly from darkness to light and the reverse. 4. The lamp comes with a life time warranty！ Those four things removed any remaining curiosity I may have had about trying the ultimate solution! So, I happily returned the cheap lamps. And I was not even tempted to try the ultimate solution! The LitOnes two-lamp solution made me a very happy camper! I got two high-quality zoom desk lamps at 1/3 the price of the ultimate solution. Also, the money that I saved I can now invest in other areas that can enhance my brand in the eyes of prospective podcasters. Finally, the better my equipment, the less I worry about it, which will also allow me to focus more on telling my stories to both the podcaster and his or her listeners.

The media could not be loaded. I put one on each side of my desk and wish I had gotten them sooner. Solid build. Ideal brightness, disbursement of light, and levels of light.
