The media could not be loaded. I love this Smart Door Lock but I don’t think it is suitable for everyone to install and use. I am a technical/DIY type of person who loves IT and technology products. I also have a lot of patience to want to learn how to set it up and use it bearing in mind how rubbish the instructions are. Once you have set this product up, it works very well and as advertised. I believe that you have to be someone like me to take the time to watch various online videos on how to use it/set it up and install the app, customise it, and generally find technology/DIY quite easy. If you are not that type of person, then get someone else to set it up for you and train you. If the instructions weren’t so rubbish, then it would get 5 stars from me because the actual product itself is fantastic. I was initially worried that the fingerprint sensor would do my head in if, for example, it took several attempts to recognise my fingerprint every time I wanted to open the door, but the fingerprint sensor is brilliant. Very rarely, and usually my fault anyway, will the senor not recognise my fingerprint. I’ve got my whole family’s fingerprints registered on my door and they don’t have any problems with it either. It does the job as intended. I predict the batteries should last a while as well. You can see on your app if the battery percentage is getting too low and you can setup notifications for that happening on your phone anyway. The spare key works well in emergencies. Also, there’s a button on the back of the door lock that you can push to put the door lock into a free flow mode, ie as a normal door handle. When you are ready, you can push it again to put it back into lockable mode. That is handy if it is for a bedroom door and you want it to be just a normal door handle at night, for example. You can customise how loud the tones are on the door ie for the beep tones of typing a number code into the door instead of using your fingerprint. You can even turn the sound off if you find the little beeps annoying – you do all that on the app. I would personally use the app really for setting up and customising your door lock. You can open the door lock with it but who wants to be walking round with their phone surgically attached to them (although some people would). Make sure that your Bluetooth is turned on within your phone. The only thing that is quite annoying with the app is that the Bluetooth disconnects as soon as you move away more than about 3 or 4 metres from the door, so you literally have to re-connect the app to the door lock every single time you want to use the app to open the door lock, set up fingerprints or customise the door lock’s functionality. Of course, it is all do-able but it is still annoyingly time intensive especially if you are solely relying on your mobile app for unlocking your door.

This lock works perfectly at first then breaks after a few months, as other reviews suggest. Constantly saying it's out of battery and fails to recognise fingerprint and open. Would accept that at a £25 price point, but not double that.

I was a bit unsure about whether I would be able to fit this door handle as I’ve never done anything like it before but I wanted more security to keep some valuables safe and secure. The instructions were fairly straightforward to fit it, The main thing I struggled with was cutting the hole in the door for the screws and to accommodate the handle. I didn’t have the right tools though so cut the holes with a Stanley knife and a drilled a few holes. I did have a handle pre installed on the door (it wasn’t a new door) and I thought it might be a simple change of handle but no I had to adjust the hole in the door and fit the plate in the door frame to accommodate the new bolt size. It wasn’t difficult maybe took me an hour to fit and as I said I did most of it with a Stanley knife so I’m guessing if you have the right tools you’ll find it much easier. Wiring it up was simple it was just running a cable through a bar in the handle and plugging it into a battery pack (You need 4x AAA batteries, not included). Then setting it up on the app and pairing it on my phone was easy, I literally just scanned for it via the app and it picked up the specific model and paired it to my phone. I’m ok at DIY but if you really struggle with technology it could be easier to get someone to fit it for you but a carpenter could do it in 2 seconds with the right tools. In terms of the functionality I’m well happy with it! I can unlock it with my phone, a code or my fingerprint and the handle won’t work if it’s given the wrong print. There isn’t a lock as such it’s more the handle is disabled until it has the right input such as your fingerprint. It also comes with 2 keys just incase the batteries run out. It does exactly what I want it to and to be honest it looks really cool when it lights up. I’d recommend this product 100% I just wouldn’t necessarily use it on your front door for example as I’m not sure if it could be hacked with NFC or RFID but I’m no expert in that area. Great product, I would buy it again if I needed another locking door handle.

The fingerprint reader is never first time takes 3/4 times average, but has taken up to 8 plus times to unlock. I set up both thumbs, both index fingers and number lock. The handle on keypad never sits right unlike the other side sits solid and moves as a handle should. I'm going to make a video to show. Now saying all that it's not a bad lock but over priced for the basic issues it should not have. It did come with two keys and seems easy to charge, I will also update on how long it lasts. Installation was grand, I followed YouTube video.

Bought this for our internal garage door and I am so surprised by this! Been using it for a few weeks now, unlocks easily with fingerprint every time, can also use an RFID tag or passcode, works with all. Unlocks and locks super quick too. Easy installation just followed the instructions. Connected easily to Tuya app as well. I also have a WIFI Bluetooth hub that this is connected to so that I can control the lock when away from home. Easy to unlock and lock in app. The only thing I don’t like is the Bluetooth connective range. It’s very short maybe 3-4m. I have another smart Bluetooth device that has a much longer range (at least 10m!). So if you buy this with the intention to control from your phone you will need a WIFI Bluetooth hub or be in the same room close to the door lock.

The media could not be loaded. Works exactly as described. Easy to install. Note the physical measurements are incorrect in the product description. This will install nicely in a door hole up to 55mm. The cover plate is 65mm (not 50mm as advertised). Just remember to allow the app to have access to nearby devices, otherwise you won't be able to pair Bluetooth and set it up/add codes. The handle feels cheap/light, but works smoothly, flawlessly, and sturdy. I don't recommend using this on a main entrance external door, but it's perfect for a garage entry door. It's not waterproof. All in all, awesome entry into smart locks at rock bottom price. No door modifications required, so if it ends up being no good, can easily swap back the original lock. Give it a go and say goodbye to carrying keys.

This has been good so far. I wish I’d read a little better - I was hoping it was wifi-enabled so I could lock/unlock it remotely, but it’s only Bluetooth enabled. But, it’s a decent lock - the fingerprint works well, the code works well. It’s easy to use. And very affordable.

Updated - touch feature (code or thumb print) stops working when batter is at 70%. Beeps endlessly for 30 secs. Given up using this expensive feature & just key using key now. Battery change required too frequently & beeping drives you nuts - it’s so loud. Original- Easy installation and good quality. Unfortunately I purchased this lock over smart locks for the finger print option. But works may 1 out of 30 goes. I have 3 locks and they all do the same - fail to recognise your print and after a while you give up do the code. It’s not a huge deal but the minimum code is 6 digits plus hash button & need to get down low to then numbers them so not as convenient as I hoped. Wouldn’t want a big thumb or finger as think you’d hit other buttons accidentally
