Excellent print quality for QR codes and barcodes. The black ink prints at high resolution, making QR codes easy to scan. I opted to use a USB cable instead of WiFi, allowing me to share the printer on my home network while keeping it in eco standby mode, ready to print anytime. The wireless settings are comprehensive but can be a bit overwhelming. This printer is significantly more cost-efficient than any laser printer I’ve used before—by a factor of 20! A typical laser toner cartridge costs around £50 (genuine) and yields 3,000 pages, costing approximately £0.016 per page. Fake toners often don’t even reach 1,000 pages before fading. In contrast, HP’s black ink costs just £15 and prints up to 12,000 pages—less than £0.01 per page. A game-changer in printing efficiency! The colour prints are alright, but note that this is not a photo printer!

Great printer - WHEN IT WORKS! It seems never to want to be connected, even though the status says it is connected to the Network. It cannot be hardwired, the only connection is via a network/router. The App on my PC and Phone say it is connected and working perfectly, but it won't print! Each time I press print - it says it is offline!!! There are no tools in Windows that will solve the problem and the App only supports PDF files. I have reset everything each time I want to print - even just one page. If I take a walk upstairs and wait, it suddenly starts to print something I cancelled yesterday. It has a mind of its own and has no capability to do a network connection check. CRAP!!

Have always used HP printers but with most printers the ink price is very prohibitive. Bought this one to replace my worn out large format printer. I'm really please with it. Typical of HP printers it prints perfectly and really true colours. I print a lot of graphics and have worked with it a lot since installing it and the ink levels have'nt dropped at all. Easy installation of the print heads, easy fill with the inks. Easy wifi set up. If I have one little gripe...and it is only a little one, the paper feeder could be a bit larger and hold more sheets so if you are a 200 sheet print job at a time then this may not be the one for you. I print mostly with normal 80gsm paper, but occasionally use 160 gsm. Used 160 GSM last week and it handled the print job perfectly. Very very pleased with this printer.

It is reasonably compact, does good photo prints, is easy to install via wireless network. The only thing to know is that each user must open an account (free) with HP. I installed it on all my devices using my account. Then I tried to install it on my wife's devices. It let me skip making an account and install the printer but it then wouldn't print giving no explanation. I went back and made her an account and all was well. Don't worry though as long as each user has an account it is super easy to install.

Having recently purchased an Epson printer which was faulty and returned I decided to try this HP. Although a little time consuming it was easy to set up and is now in full use scanning and printing to a high quality. Compared to the Epson this was so much more straightforward. Some tips if you decide to buy one: Allocate at least 30 minutes to set up and be patient - some tasks like checking the print heads seem to take longer than expected. Take care when fixing the print heads - its a bit fiddly and you will need to use more force than you would think to lock in place. After you have set it up restart your computer for everything to work successfully. It does work without a restart but is painfully slow. After a restart prints are almost instantaneous. A restart is definitely required after adding the printer to a second computer. Nothing worked until after I did this. (PS this is only on Windows 11)
